Governor Phyllis Neff is celebrating the Oratorical Contest winners. 1ST PLACE WINNER MADDIE WOLF, is a Senior at Fort Zumwalt West HS, sponsored by the Wentzville/Lake St. Louis Optimist Club, 2nd Place Winner Kaitlyn Green, is a Freshman at Woodland R IV HS, sponsored by the Marble Hill Optimist Club, and 3rd Place Winner Seungho Jung, is a Freshman at Rockbridge HS, sponsored by the Columbia Downton and Kids First Optimist Clubs. Maddie receives a $2,500 scholarship; Kaitlyn receives a $2,000 scholarship; and Seungho receives a $1,500 scholarship! Congratulations winners!

The board voted to provide the District Jr. Golf Tournament the full $626.50 as requested by Joe Hatfield, Jr. Golf Chair, pursuant to Art. VI Sec. E of our Policies.
Past Governor Ernie Wrenn, Chair of the Candidate Qualification Committee, reported that Jennifer Bagwell is the Committee's choice for Governor-Elect for next year. The vote will take place at our District Convention in August.
Jean Naeger, Governor-Elect, presented a plan for realignment of Zone boundaries for next year and the board approved the plan.
Jean Naeger, Governor-Elect, noted that a new Leadership Development Program was coming to OI and to our District next year.
Jean Naeger, Governor-Elect, presented Pat Parsons as next year's District Secretary/Treasurer and she was approved.
