ASHLAND OPTIMIST CLUB

GENERAL RULES AND POLICIES

1. ALL PERSONS MUST ADHERE TO ALL RULES, POLICIES and REGULATIONS.

2. Pool managers and their designated staff have authority to enforce all pool rules and may ask anyone who violates the rules to leave the premises without refund.

3. Pool managers reserve the right to refuse entrance and/or ask anyone to leave.

4. Ashland Optimist Club, Pool Committee, managers and lifeguards are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property while at the pool facility. Valuables may not be left with pool staff.

5. All patrons under the age of 10 MUST be accompanied and supervised while at the pool by an adult 16 years of age or older. Those under the age of 10 will not be allowed in the water without appropriate supervision.

6. Patrons are allowed to bring their own seating as deemed appropriate by a pool manager.

7. Adults will have priority to lounge furniture.

8. Proper swimsuit attire is required.

9. No smoking or alcohol allowed on pool property.

10. No glass containers of any kind allowed on property.

11. All food bought in concession stand must remain in designated concession area.

12. No outside food allowed inside the pool gate.

13. Management reserves the right to add rules as deemed necessary.

14. All announcements regarding closings will be posted on the pool Twitter and Facebook accounts.

POOL/SWIMMING RULES

1. Patrons must obey all directions from the lifeguards

2. Patrons must pass a deep end test to be allowed in the deep end.

3. Absolutely no flotation devices are allowed in the deep end.

4. Absolutely no hanging on ropes or ladders.

5. Absolutely no diving off side of pool or shallow end.

6. Flotation devices are only allowed in the shallow end. Children may wear secured “water wings”, arm floaters, or vests, however, they absolutely MUST be accompanied IN the water by a parent or guardian at ALL times.

7. Managers reserve the right to deny use of any flotation device for any reason.

8. Absolutely no flotation devices such as rafts or seats are allowed.

9. Patrons requiring diapers must wear swim diapers at all times.
   
   

BEHAVIOR POLICIES

1. Patrons will be allowed 3 warnings per day for violation of pool rules. After the 3^rd warning, the patron(s) will be asked to leave the pool based on previous violations:

1^st time-expelled for remainder of current day

2^nd time-expelled for 1 week

3^rd time-expelled for remainder of season and no refund for pool pass purchased

2. Absolutely no profanity or display of inappropriate behavior (discretion of pool managers)

3. Absolutely no socializing with or distracting pool staff.

4. Absolutely no behavior deemed to be unsafe for self or others is allowed. Such behavior includes running, boisterous or rough play, pushing, dunking, wrestling, sitting on shoulders, “chicken fighting”, excessive splashing, diving or jumping haphazardly, snapping of towels or improper conduct causing unnecessary disturbances in or around the pool area.

5. Lifeguards must be obeyed at all times.
