2019 Oratorical Contest Winners
Topic: Is there a fine line between optimism and reality?
The contest was held at our club on Sunday, April 7 The 1st and 2nd place winners are invited to the District Contest, May 4th at the 3rd Qtr District Conference in St. Louis. They will be competing for up to $2500 in scholarships and the opportunity to move on to win more scholarship monies. 3rd place is the alternate. The alternate will be invited should 1st or 2nd not be able to attend.

Tri-District Conference Selfie!
Celelbrating 100 Years of Optimism, The Eastern MO, Western MO and Kansas districts combined their second quarter conferences to meet together February 15-16, 2019 in Kansas City.
Despite inclement weather over 150 Optimists attended!

WINTER 2007/2008 BASKETBALL
|
|
| Youth enjoy participating in the Optimist recreational basketball league. Games are held at the Primary, old Elementary and Middle school gyms each Saturday morning through March 1rst. This program provides a healthy activity during the winter months, and the Optimists greatly appreciate the use of school gyms. Parents are encouraged to attend and show positive support, clean up trash after the games, and not let children run in the hallways.
