Summer baseball/softball for 2011 have completed registration, begun practicing and will start games soon.  Have a great season!

FYI:
Registration for summer 2012 should begin in January 2012 and registration deadline will be in early February, 2012.

The preferred method of registration is on-line.  Here is the direct link to register now.  https://www.manageyourleague.com/DCC/reregister.php?season=9&Lid=1

Online registration allows the use of credit cards or checks for payment of player fees.  You must fully complete the registration process in order to register your player.  You are not done until you hit that finalize button.  When paying by check you will also need to print the invoice page to send in with the check.  If online registration is not possible for you, please contact Kristi Savage-Clarke for assistance 657-4211 or ksavageclarke@gmail.com.  The fee for 2011 will be $65 which represents a savings over the normal Diamond Council Fee.

If you had a player registered with Diamond Council in previous years, you can update your player or add a new player.  You can find your account by logging in with your password or by searching for your name.  It's important to be sure that both parents information is included and correct.  If your child was previously registered through Diamond Council, be sure to UPDATE the grade and shirt size for this season.  If you have not previously registered a player with Diamond Council go to the bottom of the registration page where it says "CLICK HERE"  and follow the basic directions.
Diamond Council League Descriptions:
Recreational Leagues:  This is the level to choose if you want your player to enroll through the Ashland Optimist Club.
*We try hard to place all players who register through Ashland Optimist on Ashland based teams where coaches will have the option to hold practices locally (City Park field, Optimist fields, HS field, Hartsburg, etc.).  However, if there are not enough kids or coaches to fill out the team(s) in each age bracket players may need to be placed on teams that practice in Columbia.

Follow these steps to register:

2.  Read the Waiver Info and go to the next step.

4.  Add your player (or update if they are already listed Please select Southern Boone Elementary as the nearest school.
5.  Please be sure to register your player for a recreational league.  Optimist does not sponsor competitive players

Weekday evening (after 5 pm), and weekend time slots will be assigned 1 per team until all teams are accommodated.  After that point if there are openings, a second time slot may be assigned to teams that have requested one.  If you are not going to be using your time on specific dates due to games or other conflicts, please contact Kristi, so that she can temporarily assign that slot to another team.  If you have rained out a practice or just need more time, let her know and she will help if possible.  You can also contact other coaches to try and set up some sort of field sharing or scrimmage arrangement.  Play Hard, Play Fair, Have Fun!
